India’s No 10 seed Sania Mirza was knocked out of the Roehampton ITF Grade I junior tennis tournament, the last warm-up for Junior Wimbledon, on Wednesday. Sania the lone Indian left in the singles went down in a shock loss to British wild card holder Katie O’ Brien 6-4, 6-1.

The bad news continued to emerge from the boys doubles section as well as the Indian boys duo of No. 5 seeds Somdev Dev Varman and Karan Rastogi went out in the second round. The Indians lost to unhearlded British boys Ross Hutchins and Guy Thomas on Wednesday 2-6, 6-2, 4-6. After losing the first set tamely, the Indian boys stormed back into the match to claim the second set.
