MUMBAI, Sept 30: While the revised domestic fares of Indian Airlines and Alliance Air will come into effect from Thursday, tickets issued on old fares upto September 30 would be accepted for commencement of journey upto October 6 without additional fares, said an IA release.
Passengers with tickets issued on old fares who have commenced their journeys before October 6, will be allowed to complete their ticketed itinerary at the old fares. However, any change of routing will be at revised fares, it added.
For journeys commencing after October 6, however, the revised fares will be charged irrespective of the date of issue of the tickets.
The fares have been revised by 11.2 per cent for all domestic flights except for flights in North-Eastern sectors. There is no revision of fares for flights in the North-East. Any cancellation of tickets on account of increase in fares will be permitted without the payment of refund fee.
The Inland Air Travel Tax which accrues to the Government of India is beingincreased proportionately. However, there is no increase in the Passenger Service Fee (PSF). Passengers are requested to contact the nearest Indian Airlines offices or their travel agents for any clarification/reissuance of tickets, said the release.
