CHANDIGARH, Jan 14: The city residents have been warned against employing domestic servants and other domestic help, including part-time maids, without ascertaining their antecedents and report to the police station.
This warning has been issued by UT District Magistrate R.K. Rao under Section 144 of CrPC, coming into force today onwards and will remain in force for 60 days. Making it mandatory, Rao asked the landlords, tenants and commercial establishments to furnish, in writing, full particulars of domestic servants, helpers and part-time maid servants to the nearest police station.
