CHENNAI, Nov 20: The Government has increased the duration of training for constable recruits from six months to nine months with a view of improving the quality of those coming out from the training institutions. The new programme, which is to be launched from the first batch during this fiscal, is expected to substantially benefit the candidates and prepare them in a better manner to meet the present day challenges.
