PVR Ltd and Barista Coffee on Monday signed an MoU for the in-cinema sale of Barista Coffee at all PVR cinemas nationwide. Barista, said company MD Ravi Deol, will set up Espresso counters at all PVR Cinemas, both existing and planned, for an initial period of three years. The tie-up extends to all cities, including Mumbai and Bangalore.

On the sidelines, MD of PVR Ltd Ajjay Bijli said: “We plan to expand to 6 locations (including Mumbai and Bangalore with a total of 40 screens. The one in Gurgao, with seven screens will open by December this year.” The company also plans to upgrade existing facilities.

Deol announced that Barista Coffee expects to achieve break-even the present quarter and also plans to expand up to 130 outlets this year. “The upcoming ones are expected to come up in Dehradun, Kanpur, Lucknow, Vizag, Jaipur, Cimbatore, Kochi and Cuttack,” he said.
