CHANDIGARH, January 8: The executive of the Panjab University Teachers’ Association (PUTA) has decided to observe January 12 as a day of protest in response to a call given by the All India Federation of University and College Teachers’ Organisation (AIFUCTO).
PUTA secretary Rana Nayar said the teachers are protesting the failure of the Centre to release new pay-scales for teachers. However, teaching work would not be affected.
