Pune Strykers defeated Karnataka Lions 3-2 in a close-contested match of the World Series Hockey.

Pune Strykers defeated Karnataka Lions 3-2 in a close-contested match of the World Series Hockey (WSH) tournament here today.

Roshan Minz put Pune Strykers in lead with an eight-minute strike but Len Aiyappa equalised in the 24th minute when he converted a penalty corner.

Going into the second half with the scores locked 1-1,Lungile Tsolekile again put the hosts ahead when he struck in the 47th minute,only for Inocent Kullu to draw parity a minute later.

Damandeep Singh,however,sealed the issue in Pune’s favour as he struck the team’s third goal in the 56th minute to help them to victory.
