Kashmir prime feature on Indo-Pak talks agenda: Pak min

Kashmir will be on the agenda of the Indo-Pak composite dialogue process once it resumes,Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said.

Kaira said a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue is the key for region’s development and prosperity.

He said Pakistan has always been in favour of resolving the issue as per the UN resolutions.

Talking to media persons after talks with European Parliament member and chairman of All Party Kashmir Group in the EU Parliament,James Elles,Kaira termed the India-Pakistan talks at Sharm-el-Sheikh as a ‘step in the right direction’.

He said the participation of the Kashmiri people in the composite talks is very important to resolve the issue ‘which has been lingering on the UN’s agenda for the past six decades.’

“The Kashmiri leadership’s involvement in the dialogue process is a must,” ‘The Daily Times’ quoted Kaira,as saying.
