Committee to probe Priyankas allegations

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president Suresh Kalmadis decision to set up a committee to enquire into Priyanka Panwars alleged harassment at the hands of the technical official attached with the Athletic Federation of India,Anu Kumar,has evoked a positive response from those taking part in the 34th National Games. Kumar is a member of the Uttar Pradesh Athletic Association.

The truth will come out if her complaint is examined properly, said Vishwanath Singh,Sports Authority of Indias coach (volleyball). It was a sentiment shared by athletes too. Kumar also welcomed the IOAs probe. I want the probe to be conducted objectively, said Kumar. On Friday,she met Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association (UPOA) secretary general Anandeshwar Pandey and submitted a written complaint.
