Reigning Formula One champion Jenson Button has vowed to break his British Grand Prix jinx,and win next Sundays race in Silverstone.

I have never been on the podium in the British Grand Prix and I am going to change that this year. This is the one Id really like to win, The Mirror quoted Button,as saying.

It makes me smile just thinking of the atmosphere and racing in front of my home fans. With the changes,the circuit suits my style,so I am looking forward to it and I am confident I am going to have a good race, he added.

The 30-year-old further said that his teammate Lewis Hamilton would be the biggest threat for him.

I have made it difficult for myself in qualifying the last couple of races and qualified further back but Ive finished right behind Lewis, Button said.

This time I have got to make it a bit easier on myself and qualify a bit further up. Realistically I have got to start on the front row. If our car is quick enough then Lewis will be my biggest threat,for sure, he added.

After a blistering start to the season,where he won two of the first four races,Button has seen Hamilton roar ahead with back-to-back victories in Turkey and Canada to lead the world drivers championship by six points.
