BCCI proposal gains favour
Karachi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) is considering moving its headquarters back to London from Dubai after the BCCI submitted a proposal at the last board meeting. The Dawn newspaper claimed BCCI president Shashank Manohar submitted the proposal and most of the affiliated members of the ICC favoured it. All the affiliated members agree on the proposal and they have asked (ICC) president David Morgan and chief executive Haroon Lorgat to undertake a study of what would be required to move back the ICC headquarters to London, the report said.
India need 2-0 win to top rankings
Dubai: India have the chance to top the Test chart,provided then can beat Sri Lanka 2-0 at home in the three-match series starting on Monday. With only three points separating first-placed South Africa (122) from third spot holder India (119),Dhoni and his men will need a 2-0 victory or better to topple the South Africans. However,Sri Lanka can also claim the top spot by simply winning the series.

Melbourne: Former Test opener Justin Langer is all set to become Australias batting coach,according to a media report here. The Sunday Telegraph said Langer is tipped to become the batting coach and personal development and leadership adviser of Australia after chief coach Tim Nielsen expressed his interest in availing the left-handers services.
2010 World T20 tickets go on sale
Dubai: Tickets for next years T20 World Cup are now on sale worldwide,the ICC has announced,after being already available to supporters in the Caribbean nations for the past two weeks. Entry would be free of cost for the Under-16 spectators for all group stage matches,while the age group would also enjoy significant discounts for all the other fixtures. Entry to group matches in the womens version,which would be held simultaneously,also have been made free to all.
NZ tour challenging: Yousuf
Karachi: Pakistan skipper Mohd Yousuf said on Sunday that the New Zealand tour will be challenging. I think we are going to encounter seaming wickets and batting on them would be a big challenge for us, he said.
