An Asian man has been charged and arrested for being involved in Britain’s first white honour killing.
Twenty-year-old Ashtiaq ”Zac” Hussein has been charged and arrested for killing his 17-year-old ‘headstrong’ and ‘feisty’ girlfriend Laura Wilson,the Daily Mail reports.
Laura was killed for challenging Ashgar and his familys traditional cultural values by confronting them with details of their relationship.
She was lured to the banks of a canal in Rotherham in South Yorkshire one October night in 2010,where Ashtiaq attacked her before throwing her into the water.
He was subsequently arrested and found guilty of Laura’s murder last June and sentenced to 17 years in prison.
