LAHORE, Oct 1: The sight of Rahul Dravid walking in for practice, with a determined look on his face, has presented the Indian team with a fresh, if minor, riddle to work out before the title clash against Pakistan, here tomorrow.

Tonight, the Indian brains thrust will have to choose between Dravid, who opted out of the second one-dayer in Karachi because of a toothache, and Vinod Kambli, who successfully replaced him. “Dravid is still not fully fit. But you will know tomorrow.” Sachin Tendulkar’s measured response indicates that the team is yet to work out a solution.

But there has been some kind of brainstorming in the Indian camp today afternoon where Shahid Afridi was the main topic of discussion. “We have some special plans for Afridi. Let it be a secret till tomorrow,” said Tendulkar.

The Indian captain, meanwhile, seems to have brought his mind back to the task at hand, after the unnerving experience at the National Stadium yesterday. He refused to acknowledge any kind of pressure before the clincher, especially when a win would make him the first Indian skipper to return from Pakistan with the winner’s trophy in his hands. Then, with the routine parting lines, “we are prepared for anything. We are a confident lot.”
