Philips India on Tuesday said it will launch eight new colour television models this year as part of plans to become one of the top three colour television manufacturers in India by 2005. The company’s senior v-P (consumer electronics) Rajeev Karwal said the new ctvs would be launched in Eye-Fi series.

Five of these models were launched today in order to widen its product portfolio and raise market share to 8% this year. On Eye-Fi series, he said “it aim at providing much better picture quality irrespective of input signals”.
