PUNE, Aug 4: A top class bowling act by PYC ensured them a nine-wicket win over Deodhar XI in the MCA under-19 cricket league here today.
Leading the wicket-taker’s tally from PYC was Kashinath Khadkikar, bagging two wickets for 12 runs in the first innings and taking his tally to six for 64 in the second innings.
In the other match of the day, Parsee Gymkhana defeated Vilas CC on first innings, anchored by a brilliant 82 from stroke-player Ganesh Bansode.
Top scorer for the day, however, was Kapil Laghate at 128, in his efforts for the first day’s match between Deccan Gymkhana and Vijay Club.
