Chandigarh, July 19: Students and parents who reached the Panjab University inquiry today to check the results for B.Com Part I had to go through an ordeal as the result gazettes were available only at one counter.
Student activists from the HSA, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, National Students Union of India and Panjab University Students’ Union stationed in their tents, erected opposite the inquiry counter to assist admission and result seekers, on the other hand, could not offer much help, since they were not provided with the result gazettes.
The students’ leaders later approached PU Controller of Examinations Dr Sodhi Ram and demanded that more inquiry counters be set up and copies of result gazettes be provided to the students’ bodies for the convenience of the visitors, leaders of different students’ outfits stated. Their demands were agreed to, it was added.
