PUNE: Two persons were killed and four injured when they were attacked by a group of 15 men over a long drawn rivalry at Osade village, about 30 kms from Pune on the road leading to Panshet recently.

Pune Rural police ascertained the identities of the two killed as Dilip Yashvant Gawade (40) and Baban Jadhav (45). Gawade is a milkman of Solapur village in Haveli taluka while Jadhav, who works at a poultry farm at Osade, hails from Donje village. The injured included Narayan Vithoba Jori (50), Narayan Shankar Kumbhar (24), Suresh Laxman Dalvi (25) and Kundalik Aburao Shahade (32). Jori and Kumbhar deeply injured, were admitted to the Sassoon hospital.

Dalvi and Shahade escaped with minor bruises. Dalvi said Jori, who is a farmer from Malkhed village, was going to meet his in-laws at Osade along with his friends when a group of 15 persons attacked them at around 9 am, with swords, choppers, sticks and iron bars. Gawade, Jadhav, Jori and Kumbhar were in a pool of blood They were later shifted to a nearby hospital where Gawade and Jadhav were proclaimed dead on arrival.
