Was last week a strenuous time in the Home Ministry? And could that be the reason why Home Minister Shivraj Patil and both his junior colleagues felt the need to re-energise themselves over the weekend with outstation visits? Patil went on a trip to Bangalore where, apart from other functions, he also attended an Art of Living session. Sriprakash Jaiswal, whose weekends are generally spent in Kanpur, found time to attend a mushaira while the third minister, Shakeel Ahmed, was in Agra on a private visit.
