The NCP on Sunday asked its lone legislator in Jharkhand, Kamlesh Kumar Singh, to show cause why he should not be disqualified since his name was announced for minister during the swearing-in of the Arjun Munda ministry. ‘‘Our national general secretary Tariq Anwar has sent the notice by fax. We sent it to the residence of Kamlesh Singh,’’ said NCP state secretary Lal Babu Singh Patel.
Earlier, Singh had said he would take a decision after consulting supporters. ‘‘I’m in hospital for four days…I will consult my supporters and people in my constituency before taking a decision,’’ he said. —PTI
