A Mumbai-based travel agent was killed while another person was injured in a clash between travel agents and boatmen over business near the Dal Lake on Saturday. Police said Dinesh Shah fainted during the altercation and was immediately shifted to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. Three boatmen have been arrested on charges of murder. However, police suspect Shah may have died of an heart attack.
Armymen held: Police arrested two armymen on charges of extortion and registered a case. The jawans were identified as Tawfeeq Ahmed and Irshad Ahmed of 24 RR. They were arrested from Pandach as they were allegedly collection money from passengers. The army has denied the charges.
