Sri Lankan Roshan Mahanama was today appointed match referee for the five-match ODI cricket series between India and Pakistan starting November 5. Ian Gould from the International Panel of ICC Umpires will stand in the first three ODIs to be played at Guwahati, Mohali and Kanpur, along with local appointments. The remaining two ODIs, to be played at Gwalior and Jaipur, will be umpired by Billy Doctrove of the Elite Panel. Attention will then shift to the three Test matches between the two sides starting November 22. The Test series would be overseen by another Sri Lankan Ranjan Madugalle. The first Test at New Delhi will be umpired by Australian Simon Taufel and Billy Doctrove. In the second Test at Kolkata, Doctrove will be joined by New Zealand’s Billy Bowden. The third and final Test at Bangalore will be umpired by Taufel and Bowden.
