The Defence Ministry has deputed a serving Lieutenant-General to the UN headquarters to take part in a probe being conducted by the peacekeeping office into allegations of gold trafficking by Indian Blue Berets posted in Congo. Lt-Gen Rajinder Singh, who has earlier served as a regional commander on a UN peacekeeping mission, will join the probe later this month.
