PUNE, Aug 20: Kailas Kodre will be the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate for Pune Cantonment Assembly constituency. Kodre, who is still in Congress, will leave the party before filing the nomination papers.
NCP sources said Kodre was nominated as the party was desperate to field a candidate from the powerful Mali community. Kodre will take on Balasaheb Shivarkar of Congress, also from the same community.
