VADODARA, April 29: City civil judge K A Patel has restrained the management of a Mangalore-based pharmaceutical company from terminating and transferring a medical representative.

The company’s representative Ashok Tripathi was transferred from Vadodara to Dimapur (Assam) and subsequently terminated from services recently. The court in its order held that the alleged transfer order was an act of revengeful intention, punitive and branded it as malafide.

The court also accepted the contention of the petitioner that he was being harassed, hence the decision. Tripathi’s case was represented by advocate Yogendra R Vasadia, according to a Gujarat State Medical Representatives’ release.
