HONG KONG, Dec 13: Indian professional Jeev Milkha Singh failed to fire during the third round of the $500,000 Omega golf championship and his par 70 kept him anchored down the field here today.

Jeev, with an outside chance of pipping America’s Mike Cunning for the Omega Order of Merit title, shot a three round total of two-over par 212 (69-73-70).

Cunning missed the cut for the final two rounds in the final strokeplay event of the season and Jeev knew that two rounds in the low 60s could clinch him the $80,750 top prize and the Omega Order of Merit title. But he had an up and down round over the tricky Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club layout with four birdies cancelled out by four bogeys.
