CHENNAI, June 26: AIADMK General Secretary and former TN CM J Jayalalitha today set at rest speculations regarding the future of her relationship with Sasikala, with whom she had broken off some time back but later began attempts to re-forge the ties. Jayalalitha said Sasikala would remain with her at her Poes Garden residence, but clarified that she would have no connection with party matters. Jayalalitha had snapped ties with her close friend, bowing to pressure from partymen, who laid the blame for the poll debacle suffered by the AIADMK at Sasikala’s door. However, after Sasikala was arrested on charges of violating FERA, and then hospitalised, Jayalalitha visited her in hospital, and, on Sasikala’s discharge from hospital, she returned to Jayalalitha’s Poes Garden residence. Jayalalitha however said she would not take back into her fold Sasikala’s nephew, Sudhagaran, who she had named her foster son, and later disowned.
