Ajay Jadeja has always tried to be innovative — and not just in asking Venugopala Rao and Suresh Raina to come in and bowl at a critical stage. He went a step further when he wore earphones for a while during fielding, to communicate with the TV crew. ‘‘It’s just a new innovation we tried in this game’’, said an official from Nimbus, the broadcast producers. ‘‘Since it was a warm-up match we asked Jadeja if we could chat with him during the course of the match. And he was game.’’
