BANGALORE, March 26: ITI (Bangalore) outplayed Mohammedan Sporting 3-0 while Sesa Goa and BSF drew 1-1 in the Second Division National Football League inter-group play-off matches here today.
ITI maintained their clean slate, winning the two matches played so far to collect six points.
After a scoreless first half played under showers that lasted 10 minutes, the local outfit scored 11 minutes after half-time. Substitute striker Najeeb struck off Ravi Babu’s pass.
Kennth Raj swelled the lead in the 82nd minute, shooting past an advancing Sporting goalkeeper. Seven minutes later substitue Moses scored from a close range off Sudhakar’s pass to complete the scoring.
Arindham Sarkar of Mohd Sporting was shown a red card for rough tackling and will miss the next match against Kerala Police on Sunday.
In the other match, Prashanta Dass of BSF scored in the 19th minute, while substitute Mario Aquiar, who came in for Alvito D’Cunha, scored the equaliser with a fine header (75th min).
