Dola Banerjee is on cloud nine. The golden girl of Indian archery returned home today after winning the gold in Dubai yesterday. And she still looked dazed with her success.

“I cannot believe I downed a Korean player to win gold at the world meet. They are leagues ahead of us in terms of training and technique. It feels like a dream,” she said.

She defeated second-seeded South Korean Choi Eun Young 110-109 to emerge champion and earn $10,000.

“I think the semi-final (against Natalia Erdyniyeva of Russia) was tougher. Once you are in the final, you are sure of at least getting the silver. That helps you with confidence,” she said.

And now, she has her eyes set on Beijing. “Definitely, the Olympics will be my next target. We will have the selection trials from the end of December and my immediate target is to do well there,” she added.
