Sophisticated Israeli counter electronic equipment and radar systems would soon be installed on board new Indian naval warships.
The way for joint production of such systems within India could be paved during Naval Chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta’s visit to Tel Aviv beginning on Friday.
Mehta’s four-day visit comes close on the heels of a tour here by a top level Israeli Defence team headed by the country’s Director General of the Ministry of Defence Brig Gen Pinchas Buchris
During his stay in Tel Aviv, Mehta will hold talks with his Israeli counterpart Vice Admiral David Ben Bashat and also call on the Israeli Defence Minister. He will also visit some keydefence industries
