Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has charged that Interpol’s red corner notices against her and husband Asif Ali Zardari, that notified that the two faced arrest back home on corruption charges, were part of a political campaign by President General Pervez Musharraf to discredit her.

Accusing the ‘‘military regime’’ of misrepresenting facts, Bhutto said she was not evading arrest and no Pakistan court had asked for her presence in the 10 cases of corruption against her.

‘‘As far as I’m concerned, if any court wants me, I am prepared to catch the next plane to Pakistan. But no court in Pakistan to my knowledge has asked me to be present. And I believe that Interpol has not been given the correct facts, ’’ Bhutto told Voice of America.
