PUNE, Sept 20: Indus League Clothing Ltd chose Pune to launch its two original brands – Scullers and Indigo Nation. There are plans to get into the womens’ wear and childrens’ wear nest year. Another brand namely Iron Wood will be in the market in the next two months.
Scullers are being marketed as cool, unfussy and classic while the Indigo Nation range is aimed at the spearhead consumer, in the middle to upper segment of the market offering not only officewear but also styled after office and week-end wear.
Managing Director Sriram Srinivasan has targeted a turnover of Rs 100 crore in the first full year of operations and Rs. 300 crore in the next few years. He expected exports worth Rs. 20 crore in the calender year 1999. He estimated the market at around Rs. 6400 crore which is expected to double by 2011.
