DUBAI, January 16: India maintained their winning form to thrash Romania youth team 15-4, 15-3, 15-10 to score their second straight win in the Third Rashid International Volleyball Tournament here last night.

India, led by captain Surjit Singh’s impressive spiking and net blocks, proved too superior for the under-16 East European side at the Al Shabab Stadium. Surjit Singh was declared the man-of-the-match.

In the next match tomorrow, India meet the UAE national youth team which had defeated the Romanians on Wednesday.
