Powermen rally
The UT powermen today held a rally to mobilise the workers to make the December 11 strike a success. The strike call was given by the Electricity Employees Federation of India to highlight the problems faced by the employees throughout the country. Issues like privatisation of public sector units, price escalation, filling up of vacant posts and creation of additional are expected to be raised in the rally.
Sardool to perform
Seventh annual Dr M.S. Randhawa Yaadgari Cultural Mela is being organised by Punjabi Cultural Society at the Phase VII Dussehra Grounds, S.A.S. Nagar, on November 29. Folk singer Sardool Singh will perform on the occasion.
