Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, whose entry into politics has created a flutter in Congress- ruled Andhra Pradesh, appears open for a tie-up with BJP in the next elections.
“Yeah, you can take it like that,” the mega star said when repeatedly asked by a TV channel whether he was “still open” for an alliance with the saffron party.
Earlier in the interview, he said it was “too early” to say about such a possibility. “I being a secular party, I don’t think it will happen. But when really inevitable and no other go, if we have to …for the betterment of the state and the country…if we are cornered in such a way, we will try to avoid but I don’t know…I don’t want to join the BJP,” he said earlier.
Asked are you open to the possibility, he said, “we will see…may be a chance…which I cannot say either yes or no right now.”
