RAJKOT, NOV 4: It’s virtual cakewalk for the fans at the Rajkot Municipal Corporation cricket ground where India and New Zealand meet for the first ODI on Friday. Result — heckled players, disturbed practise session and confusion.

An upset Ajay Jadeja requested the official to flush out the fans but all pleas fell to deaf ears. Chris Cairns blew his top when the unruly fans hovered around for too long.

While Sachin Tendulkar spoke to the media, coach Kapil Dev had to ensure that the skipper was safe. His plea to the officials was, “See to it that no one pushes him, he has a match to play tomorrow.”
