BHUBANESWAR: Heavy commercial vehicles (HVCs) across the country will indefintely suspend operation from August 22 in protest against non-performance of Tariff Advisory Committee in compliance to an agreement signed, All India Motor Transport Congress sources said.

The vehicles would include all trucks, buses and three wheelers throughout the country. AIMTC president O P Agarwal said TAC was to keep in abeyance the increase in rates of motor insurance premium and undertake de novo consideration of the proposal of GIC in this respect.
