Buoyed by Gurvinder’s heroic efforts, Delhi University scored an easy 83-46 win over Kurukshetra University in a league match of the ongoing North Zone Inter-University Basketball Championship for men being played at Panjab University grounds on Thursday.
Gurvinder was the star of the day for the winning team as he scored 19 points. He was well assisted by Devesh and Parveen, both of whom scored 12 points each. Vikram was the other major contributor as he scored ten points while Deepanshu and Ankush scored eight and seven points respectively.
For the losing side Jatin was the top scorer scoring 16 points while Mohit scored 12 points. Parveen and Naseeb scored eight point each but their effort went into vain.
In another league match of the day, hosts Panjab University scored a comprehensive 83-48 win over Punjabi University,Patiala. Rajan Sharma was the star of the day for Panjab University as he scored 21 points.
He was ably assisted by Gurbaj Singh who scored 20 points.
