CHANDIGARH, Dec 1: Government College, Ludhiana edged past Arya College, Ludhiana by one point to lift title in the Panjab University Inter-College men’s weigthlifting championship at PU Campus here today. GC, Ludhiana got 15 points while Araya College, Ludhiana secured 14 points to win the second place.
Third place went to Sri Guru Gobind Singh College-26, who had 11 points.

B’ball title for 12 Wing
The Himalayan Eagle squadron and Agni Bann were winners and runners-up in volleyball event in the 12 Wing Inter-Service sports meet at 12 Wing premises today. In Basketball, 12 Wing took the first spot while Camels squadron was second. Handball title also went to 12 Wing who defeated the Himalayan Eagles squadron in the final.
Agni Bann, who lost in volleyball was victorious in football event. The Featherweight squadron was runners-up. Competition in cricket, athletic and hockey events will also be held.
The Inter-Service hockey tournament will also be held here from December 6 at the Sector 42 Hockey Stadium.
