Iran rejects US offer
TEHERAN: Iran today rejected an invitation by the American football federation to play a friendly international in the United States, the official Iranian news agency IRNA reported.

Congo barred
JOHANNESBURG: The Democratic Republic of Congo have been disqualified from the All-Africa Games qualifiers, the African Football Confederation (CAF) announced here on Tuesday.
Congo failed to arrive in the Central African Republic for a second-round match this month and their opponents face Cameroon during July for a place at the finals.
