Trouble over anti-semitic taunts
Rome: Local officials were calling for action here on Monday after anti-semitic banners were again waved during the local derby between top Serie A sides Lazio and AS Roma.
The derby was marred for the second time this season by Nazi insignia being waved at fans of AS Roma, who are traditionally supported by the capital’s Jewish community.
McCall for recall
Las Vegas: Former WBC heavyweight champion Oliver McCall wants to get back in the ring when he completes a one-year jail sentence for a battery and assault conviction.
“I can’t hide from the past, I have to accept what I have been through and learn from my mistakes to move forward with my life,” said McCall.

Barcelona: Fourth seed Alex Corretja tumbled out of Barcelona Open on Tuesday, losing 7-6, 6-3 in the second round to Morocco’s Younes el Aynaoui. Albert Costa underlined his potential with a smooth 6-3, 6-2 first round win over Italy’s Andrea Gaudenzi.
