PANCHKULA, Sept 29: Ganesh Ahuja and Rekha overcame their respective final opponents on strikingly similar margin to win the men’s and women’s crowns of the Raj Kumar Babuta Memorial Haryana State Ranking Table Tennis tournament here today.
Ganesh beat Jitender 21-19, 22-20, 21-9 in a very close final encounter while Rekha beat Monika also at 21-19, 22-20, 21-9 in the women’s singles final.
Neeraj Kumar (boys) and Monika (girls) were crowned with titles in their categories.

Men’s singles (final): Ganesh Ahuja bt Jitender Jain 21-19, 22-20, 21-9. Semifinals: Jitender Jain bt Anup 21-18, 21-11, 21-17; Ganesh Ahuja bt Neeraj Mani 21-10, 22-20, 19-21, 21-16. Third place match: Neeraj bt Anup 23-21, 21-19. Women’s singles (final): Rekha bt Monika 21-19, 22-20, 21-9. Semifinals: Monika bt Bhawna 21-13, 21-15, 22-20; Rekha bt Meenu 21-11, 21-15, 21-13.
Boy’s singles (final): Neeraj Kumar bt Sunil Ahuja 21-13, 21-18, 21-17. Semifinals: Sunil Ahuja bt Gagan 21-18, 21-18, 21-16; Neeraj Kumar bt Neeraj Maini 21-14, 16-21, 21-13, 21-19.
