ROOPNAGAR, Aug 18: Terming the electoral battle between the Akalis and Congress as a fight between communal and secular forces, the Congress candidate for Ropar (Reserve) Shamsher Singh Dullo today accused the Tohra and Badal factions of Akali Dal of sponsoring terrorism in Punjab.

Dullo, who earlier in the day filed his nomination told mediapersons that by teaming with the Tohra faction, the BSP had lost the confidence of Dalits. And said there would be triangular fight between the Congress and the two communal parties for the Ropar Lok Sabha seat, and claimed the Congress would bag all the Lok Sabha seats.

Dullo, who yesterday failed to file his nomination, admitted to several gaps in the papers. His wife, Harbans Kaur, filed her nomination as a covering candidate. Sant Singh of Khanna, filed his nomination as an independent candidate.
