CHENNAI, Jan 25: An undergraduate student of Ethiraj college for Women, Sofia Shahnawaz, who obtained the first rank in the B.Com degree exam in Madras University this year, achieved the rare distinction of bagging six medals at the convocation on January 25. The awards she received were the Madras Piece Goods Merchants Charitable Trust Endowment Prize, the Zonal Conference of Chambers of Commerce in South India medal, Institute of Charteed Accountants of India medal, Principal B V Naryayanasami Naidu prize, Sir T Mackenzie Ross prize and K R Sundarajan memorial medal.
