PUNE, Feb 5: The `batsman friendly’ Nehru Stadium turned out a nightmare for batsmen, as 13 wickets were accounted on the opening day of the Delhi-Maharashtra Group B Super League Ranji Trophy tie today.
Maharashtra’s debutant Sachin Nair was the killer on the rampage. His five-wicket haul saw Delhi fold up for 156 two minutes before tea. At close, the hosts tottered at 93, three of their top-order back in the dressing room. Abhijit Kale, who looked shaky in the beginning, was on 46.
