Youth’s body recovered
The Sachin police have recovered the body of an unidentified youth, who was found murdered near Una village on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday. One Rafiqbhai Habib, a resident of Bhindi Bazaar area of Una village, informed the police that the deceased’s body, with gashes on the neck, chest and abdomen, was lying beside the canal passing through the village. The Sachin police have registered a case of murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and is investigating.
Two injured
Two persons were injured in separate cases of assaults, due to personal enmity, registered in the Athwa Lines police station on Wednesday. Shajid Pathan, a resident of Habibshah Mohalla at Nanpura, complained to the police that when he was playing carom in Tazia committee office at Garibnawaz building, one Munwar alias Munna reached the spot and stabbed him thrice before escaping. In another case registered at the Athwa Lines police station, a resident of the Kharwa Mohalla area of Rudarpura, lodged a police complaint against her husband, stating that he abused her and stabbed her with a knife at one Vandanbhai’s workshop, located opposite Kshetrapal Mandir in Sagrampura, on Wednesday. The Athwa Lines police have registered cases under sections of the IPC and are investigating.
Theft
Cash of Rs 50,000 were stolen from a scooter parked in the parking space of Vivekananda Apartments, beside Gujarat Gas Company at Adajan, a case registered by Dayanand Sharma, a resident of Trikamnagar Society at Varachha, in the the Rander police station said. A case of theft under section 379 of the IPC has been registered.
