Man commits suicide
One Bhikha Magan Rathod, a 37-year-old resident of Halpativaas in Vihaan village of Kamrej taluka, committed suicide on Monday night by hanging himself to the roof of his house, a case registered in the Kamrej police station said. While the reason behind the extreme step could not be ascertained, a case under CrPC 174 has been registered in the police station.
Man duped
One Shailesh Damji Patel, a resident of Dhatva in Kamrej, complained to the Kamrej police, that an unidentified person driving a motorcycle (GJ 5 GG 9899) came to his house and offered to polish gold bangles with a chemical. But when the complainant went inside the house to fetch a glass of water, the accused fled with the bangles. A case under Sections 406 and 420 of the IPC have been registered in the police station.
Vehicle thefts
Two motorcycles were stolen, according to cases registered in the Udhna police station of the city and Kamrej police station of the district. One Anil Baban Thakore told the Udhna police on Tuesday morning that his vehicle (GJ 5 AE 8085) was stolen from opposite Navakaar Apartments in Udhna Vinaynagar, where it was parked. In another complaint filed in the Kamrej police station, one Naresh Thakore Patel complained that his vehicle (GJ 5 AF 348) was stolen from from the outskirts of Sarthana village on Monday night. Cases under IPC 379 have been registered at the police stations.
