2 held in Bapu Dham Colony
In late night operations conducted in the Bapu Dham Colony, a team of policemen led by the police post in-charge Dilsher Singh reportedly nabbed Ashok Kumar alias Khapu on the charges of running a satta and Sarwan Kumar alias Bhola for selling liquor in the Colony. Police sources said that six bottles and 10 pouches of liquor were recovered from Bhola. Separate cases have been registered under the Gambling Act and the Excise Act.
Camera stolen
Labh Singh, a resident of Bapu Dham Colony, complained to the police that a bag containing a camera, walkman and other articles was stolen in Sector 26. A case has been registered.
Two arrested
Ram Suhag alias Suhaga, a resident of Sector 40 and Sobha Singh, of Sector 24, were arrested from opposite the police post in Sector 24 for selling liquor. The police have seized 24 bottles from their possession. A case has been registered.
Car lifted
G S Riar, a resident of Sector 9, complained to police that his car (CHK 600), was stolen from Sector 17. A case has been registered.
