KHARAR, Jan 1: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal conducted a surprise raid at the Kurali civil hospital near here, at about 9.30 a.m. According to an information, the Chief Minister ordered immediate suspension of a dental doctor and an X-Ray technician, who were found absent from duty at the time of raid.
It is learnt that the Chief Minister was on his way from Chandigarh towards Jalandhar, and on reaching Kurali, he made a surprise visit to the civil hospital. He inspected the working of the hospital and gave assurance of provide an ECG machine and 25 mattresses at the hospital soon.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister would visit nearby Kurali township on January 5 to participate as a chief guest in a special programme being organised by the Khasla Senior Secondary School after the completion of its 100 years, according to information from the school.
KHARAR ARYA SAMAJ OFFICE-BEARERS: Geeta Ram Chaudhary and Vikas Garg have been unanimously elected president and secretary respectively, of Kharar Arya Samaj. Other office-bearers include Sham Lal – vice president, Devinder Gupta – under secretary, Vijay Kumar – cashier.
