Tennis fans in India can look forward to ushering in the New Year in style as South Asia’s only ATP Tennis Tournament returns to Chennai. The Chennai Open 2005 will be played at the SDAT Tennis Stadium at Nungambakam, Chennai between January 3-9, 2005. The qualifying rounds will be held on January 1-2, 2005.

The USD 400,000 Chennai Open 2005 will feature an impressive roster of international stars including Carlos Moya of Spain and Thai star Paradorn Srichaphan. Other well-known players include Rainer Schuettler, Jonas Bjorkman, Jan-Michael Gambill and Justin Gimelstob.
